The ISF U-15 Gymnasiade 2025 in Zlatibor, Serbia, kicked off with a burst of energy, and Team Uganda stole the spotlight during the Culture and Nations Night! Held from April 4-14, this global youth sports festival brings together nearly 4,000 athletes from over 60 countries, competing in 22 sports, including three para-sports. But it’s not just about the games—Uganda’s young stars proudly showcased their heritage, turning heads with colorful displays of dance, music, and tradition.

During the Nations Night, Ugandan students lit up Zlatibor’s scenic streets, waving flags and sharing their culture alongside delegations from around the world. The tour through Zlatibor’s pine forests and stunning lake added magic to the evening, with athletes bonding over shared pride and new friendships. Posts on X captured the vibe, with @USSSAOnline sharing snaps of Uganda’s crew radiating joy and unity.

This cultural kickoff sets the stage for Uganda’s athletes to compete fiercely in sports like athletics, swimming, and badminton. With the nationals behind them, schools like Fort Portal S.S. and Hima Cement P.S. are cheering from home as Team Uganda carries Rwenzori’s spirit to Serbia. Let’s rally behind our young heroes as they chase glory and make memories!
