The Uganda National Swimming Championship, organized by the Uganda Swimming Federation (USF), concluded with a resounding success at Kampala Parents School from June 27 to June 30, 2024. This 9th edition of the championship was a landmark event, drawing over 1,000 swimmers from 25 clubs across Uganda, making it one of the largest swimming competitions in the nation's history.

  • Emmanuel Nsubuga, a 17-year-old sensation, broke the national record in the 200m butterfly with a time of 2:05.45.
  • Sandra Nakyeyune, aged 15, set a new record in the 50m freestyle, finishing in 25.89 seconds.
Rising Stars:
  • Faith Mukasa, an 11-year-old prodigy, clinched gold in the 100m backstroke.
  • Joshua Akankwasa, 12, dominated the 100m breaststroke.
Team Competitions:
  • Dolphins Swim Club emerged as the overall team champions, securing 15 gold, 10 silver, and 8 bronze medals.
  • Silverfin Academy and Makos Swimming Club also showcased strong performances, finishing closely behind the Dolphins.
