The Stanbic National Schools Championship (NSC) 2025 boot camp, held May 4-9, 2025, at Seroma Christian High School in Mukono, was a game-changer! Over 150 Ugandan schools battled it out, pitching ideas like school apps and many more. Atima Adaka from Lira Town College, who wowed judges with her business idea, said, “I learned from big minds and grew my dream!” With Shs 150 million in prizes, including scholarships and a South Africa trip, students proved they’re Uganda’s next innovators.
Bootcamp Highlights
From Gulu to Jinja, students like those from St. Joseph’s Namagunga, who won last year’s Shs 25 million solar system, showed what’s possible. Diana Ondoga from Stanbic Bank shared, “Mental health is key for Ugandan learners’ well-being,” highlighting the boot camp’s focus on entrepreneurship and mental health skills, tied to Uganda’s new curriculum. The energy was electric, with schools creating job-making projects that lit up the competition!
